The Homerun Cookie
Written by: Allison McWood

The Little Hero loses confidence to play baseball when he doesn’t have his special cookies before the game. In overcoming his fears, the Little Hero learns that self-belief, not homerun cookies, is the secret ingredient for success.

No matter what your hair, skin or eye color is, or even if you wear glasses, a little Hero can be made to look just like you!

Most of the children (4 to 5 years) really thought the cookies were magical! Some parts of the story had to be explained, but this was from a lack of experience in playing baseball. A definite must for older readers and sport loving children!
